Rice Picker Entertainment

So I know we (Rice Picker Entertainment) haven’t had much video stuff going on, but let me tell you that we ARE working; both on videos and with school work.  Here’s what’s coming up (hopefully):

- Asian Drama spoofs - making fun of the most cliche things in a Korean drama, Taiwanese drama, and Japanese dramas

- Words I Never Said - a dramatic script by Josef that is written in a flashback set up

- Ghost Hunters - a parody of the douche bags who hunt ghosts

- Dora the Adventurer - a parody of our favorite Spanish speaking explorer; no it won’t be racist

I’ve probably already whined about this, but I do wish I had the free time like back in high school, but it’s not just the fact that I don’t have time, actors are very hard to get.  When I say this, lots of people go: “you go to college with lots of people and you’re in the film school, it should be easy to find actors”.  Well that is true, but finding actors is a hard thing to do, especially last minute.

Back in high school, actors were easily picked out just through a circle of friends.  We all had free time and I wasn’t on my own.  Now it’s different.  Akine is commuting, working, and concentrating on engineering at the moment and Josef is in Chicago working on his Navy career.  My friends on campus are on different schedules than me, so we have to plan super early for shooting.  Writing is harder to do without a partner to respond back at jokes or situations.  I could ask for actors in the theater, but some aren’t trained to do film acting.

All in all, don’t expect videos to be coming out quickly.  I know I complain a lot about this, but it does get the stress out of what is happening.  But I know you guys are supportive and I’m willing to put up with this for you guys!
