Hello there, sit back and check out what has been going on with Rice Picker Entertainment |
Ah yes, another weekend of filmming. This weekend I scheduled to work on a new music video to Far East Movement’s, Rocketeer. Now I thought it was gonna be a normal, slightly stressful two evenings of filmming, but oh no there was a lot of stuff bound to happen. Lets start with Friday.
Our shoot location was a house provided by Dominica, a friend of ours. Around 4:30, only 4 of us, including our host, were on set preparing the equipment and getting all the concept set up. A few of our friends were expected to arrive, but they haven’t shown up nor gave an early response as to whether they were showing or not. By 5:00, we have gotten confirmation that our cast extras were not showing up. This pretty much screws up our original concept and ideas for Rocketeer. Akine and I are rushing to figure out a new song and the video concept. Luckily we found a song that could use most of the original concept for Rocketeer. We settled with Michelle Branch’s, Everywhere.
The next day was running smoothly. However we almost got the cops called on us by a crazy old lady. One of the scenes was shot at a neighborhood intersection. We were getting different angles and a few of the shots had a small image of the house in it. While getting set for the next shot, we hear some lady yelling in her house about a camera and a tripod and to possibly call the cops. I look up and see this lady staring at us. Lucas tried to tell her that this was just a school project but she ignored us. The husband came out to see what the situation was and we just said it was a school project and he was completely fine with us filmming. I mean we weren’t directly taking any shots of the house nor did we get their address. However I would too get a bit suspicious if someone was outside the house with a camera, but I would take the time to approach them.
